Sat Jan 03: Saturday Snow showers across northern Scotland this morning, continuing into the afternoon. Some of them will be heavy. A further area of wintry showers affects the far west of Wales and northern coasts of Cornwall and Devon. A few wintry showers over northeast England as well as the northern and western coasts of Ireland. Elsewhere it is going to be a dry, sunny but very cold day. A fresh north to northwest wind. Highs at 2 to 3C for many, -2C over the snow fields of Scotland but 5C in the far southwest of England.
