Sunshine in western Scotland and Ireland, the best of this in the west. Brighter this afternoon over much of England and Wales although more cloud in the far south, still with an odd spot of rain on hills. Sunny spells continue through the Midlands, Wales, northern England, Scotland and Ireland. Staying windy in the south, gusts of 40mph. Highs at 18C in western Scotland, 15C in southern England where it feels cold in the wind.
