Mon Dec 08: Tuesday A deep area of low pressure passes west of Ireland on Tuesday. Rain, some of it heavy, will be passing north and east through the morning as well as bringing severe gales. Gusts of 60mph or more may occur over western coasts and hills. The rain may be less heavy in the afternoon although it stays windy. Perhaps drier for a time in the afternoon in eastern England and eastern Ireland. Highs at a mild 10 to 14C.
