Mon Jan 05: Monday The north to northwesterly airflow persists through Monday bringing further cold conditions. Plenty of sunshine away from coasts throughout the day. Snow showers around northern and western coasts of Ireland with further snow showers in northern Scotland and eastern England. Some snow showers through the Irish Sea too will clip west Wales into southwest England. Highs near -5C in central Scotland, widely no higher than 0 or 1C but to 5C in the far southwest of England.
