The rain will fall heavy at times across nrthern counties of Ireland into Wales and on through central England as the day progresses. Do expect strong to gale force winds across much of southern Ireland, Wales and central and southern England. The rain will clear eastwards through the afternoon, although may linger in East Anglia and southeast England until evening. Rather cloudy skies follow with a few bright spells, but also showers to follow, some of these likely heavy in places. Highs at 12 to 18C.
