Where the cloud is thickest over the Pennines there could be some light rain and drizzle. Through the afternoon the cloud largely breaks up allowing for sunny spells to develop more widely and temperatures to rise to very warm values across central and southern England and Wales, warm further north. Highs of 20 to 22C in the north and 26 to 28C in the south.
