Thu Nov 20: Thursday A cold Thursday with widespread morning frost; higher pressure west and lower pressure to the east. Showers continue around western, northern and eastern coasts, some wintry, especially in Scotland and along North Sea coasts where some hail may fall. Drier inland with sunny spells, perhaps widely sunny in western parts. Showers around windward facing coasts of Ireland, but dry and sunny inland. Showers will ease in the west afternoon. Highs at 3 to 5C though upland areas of northern England and Scotland will struggle to rise above freezing.
