Thursday Extensive hot sun for Iberia and the western Mediterranean islands. Italy is dry and sunny, afternoon showers in the south. More dry and bright weather for the Balkan States, some showers develop in Albania and North Macedonia. Showery bursts for mainland Greece, becoming fairly widespread and thundery for several afternoon hours. Türkiye is dry and fine. Most of France is dry, warm, and sunny. Cloud and scattered light showers in north France extend into the Low Countries and north Germany. Southern Germany is mostly fine, as are Switzerland, Austria, and Czechia. Showers well-scattered in Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland with sunny spells. As the day goes, a breeze strengthens across the north continent, some heavier afternoon showers in coastal Poland. Scattered thundery showers break out in Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria. Strong wind sweeps across Denmark, south Sweden, and later into the Balkan States. With the wind will come several hours of heavy rain with thundery bu rsts. Showery in northern Scandinavia, some drier areas with bright sunshine away from the showers. Showers will tend to fade for a bright sunset for much of central Scandinavia, but some areas will remain showery.
