of showery snow across Scotland and northern England, these increasingly
moving south, most of the showers in western areas and Ireland but
also turning into sleet or rain to lower/coastal ground. Often breezy,
windiest in the north, but variable. Highs at 1 to 4C, coldest in
East Anglia; 5C in the far southwest, locally higher west Ireland.
