The rain heavy at times in parts of eastern Wales, central and southern England. An increasing risk of snow over the Pennines in the afternoon and evening. Perhaps drier in the far southwest of England with some sunny spells. Further cloud, rain and windy conditions, rain in eastern Scotland and some sleet on hills. Drier in western Scotland, brighter spells in the far northwest. Highs at a cold 2C in northern Scotland, 4C in central England, 9C in southern England.
