Scattered showers in central England, tending to become heavier into the afternoon, possibly thundery. A few showery bursts of rain for southern Ireland in nthe afternoon. Brighter in the far south of England and then later in northwest Scotland. Highs at 9 to 12C in Scotland and northern oarts of Ireland, a milder 15 to 19C over most of England and Wales.
