Thursday A front bringing rain to the west of Scotland and western Ireland on Thursday morning will be edging very slowly eastwards with the patchy rain reaching Northern Ireland, central and northern Scotland during this afternoon. Most rain in central Scotland. Dry elsewhere and becoming very hot. Good spells of sunshine, best in more southern England. Highs at 30 to 37C over much of England and eastern Wales, 26C in eastern Scotland, 17C in western Scotland, 28C in southern Ireland.
