Sunshine in Scotland and Ireland under a ridge of high pressure, becoming very windy in the northwest. Little change for the afternoon, most places dry with a fair amount of cloud in England and Wales. Some rain for the Channel Isles. Highs at 8C in Scotland and Ireland, 15C in southeast England.
