Wednesday Low pressure centred to the northwest. Showery rain and
cloudy skies toward the west and particularly northwest, more persistent
rain in Scotland at times, drier to the east. Further south, showers
stay mainly towards coastal areas with drier intervals and some sunshine
for the Midlands and eastern England. Showers fade for west Wales
later. Rain sweeps into Ireland and the southwest into the night.
Light to moderate southwesterly winds. Highs of 6C in the north and
10C in the south.
