However, cloud will steadily increase through the day from the west, winds strengthening to become quite blustery. Heavy rain arrives into the west of Ireland and moves eastward through afternoon, reaching the west of Britain by evening and perhaps earlier. The east of England stays bright all day. Highs of 8C in Scotland (though warmer on the far northeast), up to 13C southeast England.
