Sun Sep 14: Sunday Wet and windy this morning in southern Ireland and southwest England with rain quickly arriving in southwest Wales too. Some sunshine at first in northeast Scotland and the far east of England but this quickly disappearing. The rain and wind then spreading east to be through most of Ireland, the western Midlands and central southern England by midday. Then turning wet and wind across all but the far north of Scotland during this afternoon. Severe gales in the west and south with rough seas and gusts over 60mph. The rain heavy at times with a risk of localised flooding in western Scotland, northwest England and parts of central England. Brighter across southern Ireland and eventually Wales and southwest England although with soe showers here. Highs at 12C in central Scotland and parts of northwest England, 19C in southern Wales and southeast England.
