Early sunshine inland giving way to building clouds, which develop increasingly widely into showers by the middle of the day onward, with some heavy bursts into the afternoon with hail, chance of isolated thunder. Fairly light winds, so showers will drift around slowly. Some places escape dry completely. Sunny spells best near coasts in afternoon. Highs 11 to 14C, warmest central-east England.
