Sat May 30: Sunday Showery rain drifts eastward across Scotland in the early hours, tending to clear away for scattered showers and sunny spells. Eastern Scotland from Perthshire to Caithness sees a risk of afternoon thunderstorms. Some showers in northwest England with sunny spells as well. Further south, showers well scattered, most places dry, and a mix of cloud and sunshine. A generally improving trend later in the day. Highs of around 17C in the north and west, rising to 24C in the south and east.
