Heavy snow England Wales
Frost and risk of ice
Wed Jan 07: Thursday Scattered wintry showers during the morning over Scotland.
Later in the morning, a developing area of low pressure (Storm Goretti)
will arrive from the southwest, bringing heavy rain to far southern
parts of England. As precipitation moves northeast, rain will readily
turn to snow across southern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands, and parts
of northwest England. Strengthening winds will lead to gales in exposed
areas, with drifting snow possible. Maximum temperatures of 2 to 3C
widely, but locally up to 8C along the south coast.
