Windy and wet west
Dry spell central England
Wed Jan 28: Wednesday A fair morning on Wednesday with dry weather and some sunny
spells for most. Further rain/sleet falls in northeast Scotland as
a new area of showery rain reaches the far south of Ireland and southwest
England by late morning. This rain area then tracks north into the
afternoon mainly southern and eastern Ireland (where it will also
be windy), but also affecting southwest England and Wales as well.
Staying wet in eastern Scotland, Shetland, and Orkney. Other areas
dry with the best sunny spells in northern England and western Scotland
in the afternoon. Winds becoming strong to gale force in Ireland,
Wales and southwest England later. Highs at 6 to 8C for most but 10C
in the far southwest.
