A front approaches from the west bringing cloud and patchy rain to western areas of Scotland, England and Wales, becoming steadier rain by afternoon. Rain over Ireland and Northern Ireland in the morning breaks up into showers and brighter spells in the afternoon. Western Scotland sees blustery heavy showers behind the rain later. Highs 16 to 22C, warmest east.
