Wintry showers follow

Wed Mar 11: Thursday A band of rain across the northwest will steadily spread southeastwards through the day, turning heavy at times as it moves across parts of England and Wales. Behind this rain band, brighter conditions will develop across the northwest, though these will be accompanied by frequent showers. Some of these showers may turn wintry even down to lower levels, especially across northern hills. Highs of 12C in the south but 7C in the north.
