Southeast England stays hot

Thu May 28: Thursday Showery rain moves into northern England and southern Scotland in the early hours. A few spots of rain further south in the east of England as well. Largely dry elsewhere, plenty of sunshine across Britain, particularly central England and Scotland. From noon and into afternoon, a veil of broken high cloud spreads across Ireland, Wales, and the south of England, gradually pushing north into Scotland through later afternoon. Some patchy rain will draw into Wales. Later, some heavy showers in northwest Scotland. Highs at 30C in southeast England, 23C in Scotland and Ireland.
