Sun May 17: Monday Scattered showers in central England this morning. Cloud increasing through Ireland, southwest England and Wales, bringing some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Further showers develop over eastern England and eastern Scotland after a bright start. This afternoon sees the rain becoming more persistent over Ireland (except Northern Ireland), western Wales and southwest England. A few heavier showers in eastern England and Scotland too but some sunny spells here. Dry for other areas but with cloud. Highs at 12C in northwest Scotland, 15C in southeast England.
