These will be clearing slowly East, although it may be this afternoon before East Anglia finally becomes dry. Much brighter weather follows into western Scotland, Wales, and Southwest England eventually moving east through all areas. Becoming windier in the west as well. Some showers over western parts of Ireland and western Scotland by midday. This afternoon is windy and showery in western areas of Wales, England and Scotland. Heavier and more persistent showers over Ireland, where they will be Gales, hail and a risk of thunder. Staying dry and bright over central and eastern areas with the best sunshine in eastern England and eastern Scotland. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, 11C in southeast England and feeling cold.
