Wed Feb 18: Wednesday A chilly start to Wednesday morning. Plenty of cloud in the strong southeast breezy. Periods of rain and drizzle for Ireland, parts of southwest Wales and the far southern coasts of England. Dry elsewhere. This afternoon sees more persistent rain into Ireland as well as southern England where the rain may become heavy. An increasing risk of some snow over the hills of southern Wales as well as high ground of central southern England by evening. Cloudy and dry for other but feeling cold in the wind too. Highs at 5 to 7C.
