Locally hot in southeast A mostly dry and bright day is expected, with plenty of sunny spells, particularly across southern areas. Scattered showers will affect the Northern Isles, the Hebrides and the northwest Highlands, while a few light showers cannot be ruled out across northern parts of Ireland. Highs of around 26C in the south and 18C in the north. Showers will continue across some northwestern areas through the evening and overnight into Sunday. Elsewhere, it will remain largely dry with variable amounts of cloud. Minimum temperatures of around 12C in the north and 18C in the south.
