Wednesday 19/8/26 Low pressure centred near Northern Ireland on Wednesday. Showers mostly in western regions of England and Wales in the morning. Variable cloud and sun, plus hit and miss heavy and locally thundery showers tracking east over south-central England, also forming in northeast Scotland. Some more persistent rain toward the west of Ireland and Scotland. Southwesterly breezes. Highs at 25C in the southeast, mostly 19 to 23C but 17C in Northern Ireland, northwest England and Scotland.
