Friday 21/8/26 Low pressure influences south and eastern England, slowly moving toward the North Sea. Areas of showers from early in the day, merging into some longer spells of rain, developing into heavier and thundery downpours for central and southern areas of England and Wales in the afternoon. A scattering of showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland too, some heavy in the south of Ireland. Cool northerly breezes. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 21C in southern England.
